An English poem recitation competition was organised for nursery students of St Joseph’s School, Sector 44-D. The tiny tots were judged on the basis of confidence, actions and props used by them.

Mount Carmel, Mohali

The much-awaited annual sports day was held at Mount Carmel School, Mohali, with zeal and excitement. The programme began with a special morning assembly, followed by unfurling of the school flag by the principal.

The Disaster Club of MDAV, Sector 22-A, organised a mock drill to create awareness among students regarding fire-fighting techniques and ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situations.

DAV Police Public, Panchkula

To inculcate the feeling of compassion, love and friendship among the children, students of the Peace Club of DAV Police Public School, in association with NGO Yuvsatta, initiated an annual drive for supporting the soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir. The drive received an overwhelming response and woolen clothes with greeting cards were collected by students.

Satluj Public, Panchkula

The 43rd annual function, Satluj Go – Getters, commenced with exuberance at the campus. Rajiv Rattan (IAS), Director, Land Records and Consolidation, and Barkha Duggal Verma, Mrs India Universe-2018, were the guests of honour. The function began with a dance performance by LKG students. Students of UKG gave a tribute to Late S Pritam Singh Serai, the Founder Chairman of Satluj Group of Schools. Tiny tots presented an eye-catching minion dance with full energy. A musical play on different kinds of emotions was presented by the kindergarten students.

Govt Model, Chandigarh

The 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated with devotion and fervour by the Principal, staff and students of the school. The auspicious day unfurled with recital of prayers and a ‘kirtan’. Students from other schools recited shabads. A ‘langar’ was also organised, which was relished by approximately 1,200 staff and students of various schools.
