Snatcher runs away with woman’s purse

CHANDIGARH:An unidentified pedestrian ran away after snatching a purse from a woman at the Industrial Area, Phase I, on Thursday.

An unidentified pedestrian ran away after snatching a purse from a woman at the Industrial Area, Phase I, on Thursday.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Sonam of Sector 25, along with some other women, had gone to Colony No. 4 to conduct a survey for the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. As she reached near block number 1, a miscreant, aged around 20, came from the rear side and snatched her purse before fleeing the spot. 

The police said the purse contained Rs 3,500 in cash, a voter-ID card, Aadhaar card and two ATM cards. A case has been registered. — TNS
