Kharar, December 9

Residents of Shivalik Enclave situated on the Landran road gave a memorandum to Kharar Municipal Council president Anju Chander demanding all documents related to taking over of the colony by the civic body in 2011 without providing any facilities by the builder to them.

Among others Prabhjot Kaur Dhillon, Gurcharan Singh, Kaushal and some other colony residents were present on the occasion. While giving more information Prabjot said, “It is surprising that Shivalik Enclave has been taken over by the MC although the builder has not provided basic amenities in this colony.”

“Now, residents of this area want to take this issue to the court. Therefore, they are seeking a copy of documents, which have been signed by both the builder and municipal officials,” she added. According to information the document signed by them mentioned that all work, as required by GMADA, was competed in the colony, she said.

“Residents of this colony are forced to live in hell like conditions. When no basic facilities have been provided here, then how did the MC take over this colony on December 9, 2011?” she added.

“We have been struggling for a long time to bring our problem into notice of the authorities concerned, but nobody is taking any action or providing required documents to us,” she said.

Meanwhile, the MC president assured proper action in this regard.
