Mohali: Roots Tennis Academy Zirakpur will organise the AITA TS-7 U-12 (All India Tennis Association) National Ranking Championship from February 25. The qualifying rounds will be played on February 25, while the main draw matches will be played from February 26, the organisers said here on Sunday. Abhishek helps LWCC win

Chandigarh: Livewire Coaching Centre (LWCC) beat Namaste Chandigarh Complex (NCC) by 33 runs to sweep the three-match final, at the Adda cricket grounds in Dera Bassi on Sunday. Electing to bat, LWCC scored 118/5 in 20 overs with Abhishek Bhateja hitting an unbeaten 53. Harvinder Nain added 36 runs to the total. For the bowling side, Gulshan Kumar claimed 2/14, while Upender and Sunil Kaushik bagged a wicket each. In reply, NCC were bowled out for 85 runs in 19.2 overs. Shahid (2/9), Harvinder Nain (2/10) and Armaan Josan (2/17) bagged two wickets each for LWCC. Bhateja was adjudged Man of the Match, while Harvinder Nain received the Player of the Tournament award. — TNS
