Chandigarh, November 15

The Postgraduate Department of Commerce at MCM DAV College for Women organised an ICSSR-sponsored national seminar on ‘Digitalising India: An endeavour to empower and transform business’.

Dinesh Dua, CEO and director, Nectar Life Sciences Ltd, was the chief guest, while Sofi Zahoor, senior director, HR and operations, Quark India, was the guest of honour.

Dua termed artificial intelligence as the biggest digital disruption that could bring obsolescence in business and thus would require upgrade of skills to remain contextual.

Subhash Chander Vaidya, general secretary, GGDSDC Society, said information and communication technologies had not only created new businesses, but also new ways of doing business.  Zahoor quoted the postulate ‘Survival of the fastest’ to drive home the point as to how digitalisation had brought about paradigm shifts in business philosophy. — TNS
