Seminar on climate change

Patiala: A lecture-cum-seminar, “We4Climate: Popular Lecture Series on Climate Change and Sustainable Development, started at Punjabi University, Patiala, on Tuesday. The event is being jointly organised by the Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences, Centre for Environment Education (CEE), supported by the German environment agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)-India, in partnership with the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST). Man murdered

Patiala: The police have booked unidentified persons for the murder of a 40-year-old man in Julkan. Jhagi Ram, victim’s father, told the police that he had gone to the grain market in Masingan on Sunday evening and returned home on Tuesday. He said upon returning home, he found his son Ishar Singh, 40, murdered. He was stabbed to death. The police have registered a case under Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC. TNS
