Samiksha leads Learning Paths to basketball title

CHANDIGARH:Samiksha’s 10-point effort helped Learning Paths School, Mohali, register a 16-6 win over St Kabir School, Sector 26, and win the girls’ U-12 title in the 6th Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the Sector 42 Sports Complex, here, on Wednesday.

Samiksha’s 10-point effort helped Learning Paths School, Mohali, register a 16-6 win over St Kabir School, Sector 26, and win the girls’ U-12 title in the 6th Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Inter-School Basketball Tournament at the Sector 42 Sports Complex, here, on Wednesday. 

Vivek High School, Mohali, overcame Strawberry Fields World School, Sector 26, 10-8 in the third- place playoff. Vaishnavi scored eight points for Vivek High School.  

In the boys’ U-12 final, Vivek High School, Mohali, defeated Learning Paths School 26-18. Hartaj and Sartaj scored 10 points each for the winners. 

Police Public School, Mohali, registered a 22-24 win over Gillco International School, Kharar, to finish third. Samvir contributed 14 points to the victory.

Saupin’s School, Sector 32, bagged the third position in the boys’ U-14 category. The side beat Police Public School, Mohali, 24-16 in the playoff. Akul was the top scorer for Saupin’s School with 10 points. 

In the girls’ U-14 category, Strawberry Fields World School humbled St Xavier’s School, Mohali, 18-6 to finish third. Vidhita scored six points for the winning team.
