Kindergarten students of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, lifted the winner’s trophy in the Group Folk Dance Competition at the Inter-School Literary Cultural and Art Competition, ‘Blossoming Buds’, organised by New Public School. Around 22 teams participated in the dance competition.

Kindergarten students of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, lifted the winner’s trophy in the Group Folk Dance Competition at the Inter-School Literary Cultural and Art Competition, ‘Blossoming Buds’, organised by New Public School. Around 22 teams participated in the dance competition. The school dance team, comprising Bani, Zeenat, Ravya, Aarav, Amandeep, Gurkirat and Loveleen of kindergarten presented bhangra. Their energetic and vibrant performances filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm.

Shishu Niketan, Panchkula

Keeping the festive spirit alive, students of Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 5, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula, celebrated Dasehra with great joy and fun. Students were dressed up as their favourite characters of the Ramayana. Various activities such as mask-making and chopai recitation were the attractions of the day. Principal Ranjna Bakshi distributed sweets among students.

Gian Jyoti Global, Mohali

Gian Jyoti Global School is hosting the CBSE VolleyBall Cluster XVIII Championship 2019-20 in the U-17 and 19 girls’ category on its campus in Phase 2, Mohali. More than 220 participants and their coordinators from Chandigarh and Mohali are participating in this championship. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by chief guest JS Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group, followed by a march past. Ranjeet Bedi, Director-Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School, presided over the event.

THE GURUKUL GLOBAL, PANCHKULA

The Gurukul Global, Panchkula, celebrated Dasehra with fervour and zeal. Students of the primary section witnessed the Ravana’s effigy being put to flames, symbolising the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Students crafted objects reflecting the festivities of the season. A special assembly was organised on the occasion, where students performed dances, songs and plays.

Vidya Valley, Kharar

Vidya Valley School celebrated Dasehra with zeal and enthusiasm. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. The programme began with a prayer and a message on Dasehra. Students also presented Ramlila. To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, an effigy of Ravana was burnt.

Delhi Public, Zirakpur

DPS, Zirakpur, celebrated Dasehra with fervour.  A spectacular act of Ramlila was staged by students. An effigy of Ravana with ten heads was burnt after the Ramlila. TNS
