Chandigarh: Sacred Heart ‘Comquest 19’ was a phenomenal success which witnessed 150 students from 19 top city schools participating in a business quiz. St Kabir Public School clinched the first prize, while the second prize was bagged by Mount Carmel Convent. Carmel Convent School stood third. In oratory and acting skills, Shivalik Public School stole the show. Sacred Heart and Carmel Convent School stood second and third, respectively. 

Sri Aurobindo, Chandigarh 

 Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Chandigarh, organised inter-school Spell Bee competition. Gurukul Global School, Mani Majra, emerged as the winner in junior category. Saupins School and RIMT World School bagged the second and third positions, respectively. In senior category, AKSIPS- 45, emerged as the winner whereas Manav Mangal High School-21 and RIMT World School stood second and third, respectively. 

St Xavier’s, Chandigarh 

St Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, organised an inter school fun-filled event “XAVARIAN MASHUP” 2019. Around 150 students from 13 Schools of tricity took part in the event. Students participated in various events, including look alikes, azaadi ke rang, collage and poster-making competition, among others. 

Paragon Convent, Chandigarh 

Paragon Convent School, Sector 24, Chandigarh, organised a computer quiz for students of Class VI to VIII. Tulip House emerged as the winner followed by Zinnia House and Daffodil House. Principal Rajni Dutta congratulated the winners.

Ryan Int’l-49, Chandigarh

Pragyat Chawla, a Class XI student, cycled from Manali to Leh, covering a distance of 540 km. Pragyat cycled in Khardungla at an altitude of 2050 m to 5450 m. At the age of 16, Pragyat is amongst the youngest to achieve this daring feat.

RIMT World School, Mani Majra

RIMT World School hosted an inter-school science contest ‘Antriksh’. Students from 22 schools participated in the event. In celestial walk, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, bagged the first position and Gurukul World stood second. In Webzine, Manav Mangal Smart School stood first and St Anne’s Convent School ranked second. In Shadow Box, Dikshant International School won the first prize and Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School won the second prize. In Bonne Publicite, St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School came first and The Gurukul, Zirakpur, ranked second. — TNS
