Chandigarh: ‘JOUR DE FETE’, an exciting venture, was initiated by Class XI students of Ryan International School, Chandigarh, as a project work. Game stalls and food stalls were set up by students. A variety of delicacies sprawled across the venue, spice of snacks and sweetness of deserts stimulated the taste buds of one and all. Children basked in the sun and rejuvenated themselves with different games such as dart game, ring me, hit the pot, make a pyramid, seven up seven down, break through cups and bouncy house.

Sri Sukhmani International

Dera Bassi: Sri Sukhmani International School, Dera Bassi, celebrated its annual programme — ‘BRISKERS’ — amid zeal and enthusiasm. Chief guest RJ Khanderao, Regional Officer, Panchkula, presided over the function. The programme was conceptualised around ‘National Integration’. Students put up a mesmerising show comprising various songs and dance performances.

KBDAV

Chandigarh: A brainstorming session on ‘IT turning into ICT’ by ICT Administrator of KBDAV-7, Harpreet Singh Rana, was held on the school premises. Resource person for the day was Principal JS Jayara from Blind School, Sector 26, Chandigarh.

Moti Ram Arya

Chandigarh: Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School organised an NSS camp on the school premises. Rajkumar Verma, Regional Director of the Youth Affairs Ministry, motivated the students to serve the society to the best of their abilities. The Traffic Police Department demonstrated a presentation on the importance of safety and the precautions to be taken while driving. NSS volunteers visited the old age home in Sector 15, Chandigarh.

Gurukul Global

Chandigarh: Globalites clinched several medals in the Roller Hockey Nationals at Vizag (Hyderabad). Nanki Sandhu clinched the silver medal, Inderdeep clinched the bronze medal, Shivin clinched the bronze medal in the Junior Roller Hockey Nationals. Charanjeet bagged the gold medal in the Sub Junior Inline Roller Hockey Nationals, Panav bagged the gold medal in the Sub-Junior Quad Roller Hockey National, Divleen won the silver medal in the Sub-Junior Quad Roller Hockey National.

KVM

Raipur Rani: “The foundation of a country’s progress depends on education. If our children get good education, it will be helpful for national development in the long run,” said Haryana Minister Nayab Singh who was the chief guest at the annual function of KVM School, Raipur Rani. MP Ratanlal Kataria, MLA Latika Sharma and Zila Parishad Chairperson Ritu Singla also graced the occasion as the guests of honour. The event began with the lighting of a lamp, followed by presentation of mementos to dignitaries. Students presented a colourful bonanaza of cultural performances. ‘Colours of India’ was the theme of the annual function. tns

Panchkula: Valley Public School, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula, organised its annual day celebration ‘NAVRANGIKA’. Ratan Lal Kataria, Member of Parliament, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The function began with the lighting of a lamp followed by the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Event was based on theme ‘Save Girl Child’ and ‘Save Trees’. Haryanvi dance and bhangra attracted the audience. Annual report was presented by Principal Col GC Mittal (Retd) and Chairman RS Malik (IAS) briefed about the growth of students.
