Rubalpreet represents India in throwball

Mohali: Seventeen-year-old throwball player Rubalpreet Kaur of Dashmesh Khalsa College, Zirakpur, represented India in the Asian Championship held recently in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Mohali: Seventeen-year-old throwball player Rubalpreet Kaur of Dashmesh Khalsa College, Zirakpur, represented India in the Asian Championship held recently in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). She had earlier not only represented the state in many throwball nationals, but also played Fistball National Championship twice. She dedicated her achievements to her parents. Her father Subedar Sukhdev Singh is serving in Army.  

Archer Tanishka bags laurels 

Chandigarh: Tanishka Sareen of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, won the gold medal in the CBSE U-14 National Archery Championship in Raipur (Chhattisgarh). She won the gold medal in the Olympic round. Over 500 archers participated in the championship. In the Indian round category, she won three gold medals and two silver medals to be adjudged the best female archer in the Indian round. She scored a total of 645 points in the ranking round. She won two silver medals and gold medal in the elimination round by defeating 31 top ranking archers in the U-14 Indian round. She defeated Parv from St Xavier’s School, Sirsa, Samruddhi Shetty from SSPMS Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidyapeeth and Parth Shinghte of PV Sukhatme School, Satara, in the final round. Tanishka trains under Kulbir Singh at the Lake Sports Club. TNS
