Rs 7.14 cr for development works in district

PATIALA: The district administration has received a grant of Rs 7.14 crore from the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s office for various development works, including the reconstruction of the road from Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib to the city bus stand.

The district administration has received a grant of Rs 7.14 crore from the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s office for various development works, including the reconstruction of the road from Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib to the city bus stand.

The DC said the administration would construct an underpass from near the PRTC workshop to Veer Ji crematorium for Rs 1.34 crore. The area is known to be an accident-prone area. The DC said: “The administration would look into the issue of water accumulation at the newly proposed underpass site and make provisions for it.”
