Rs 6.25L snatched from owner of Gopal Sweets

CHANDIGARH: Three Activa-borne miscreants sped away after snatching a bag containing Rs 6.25 lakh from the owner of Gopal Sweets. This is the second such incident reported by the victim, Sharanjeet Singh.

Three Activa-borne miscreants sped away after snatching a bag containing Rs 6.25 lakh from the owner of Gopal Sweets. This is the second such incident reported by the victim, Sharanjeet Singh. Earlier in 2017, a bag containing Rs 4.85 lakh was snatched from him in Sector 11.

Sources said the three miscreants targeted the businessman on the rear side of Gopal Sweets in Sector 8. The miscreants sprayed chilli powder in his eyes and snatched the bag containing the sales collection. The accused managed to flee from the spot.

The police were informed about the incident around 9.30 pm following which various teams rushed to the spot.
