CHANDIGARH: A recklessly driven vehicle rammed into two cars parked outside houses in Sector 21 this morning. The incident, which was reported at 5.08 am, was caught on CCTV cameras installed outside the houses.

A recklessly driven vehicle rammed into two cars parked outside houses in Sector 21 this morning. The incident, which was reported at 5.08 am, was caught on CCTV cameras installed outside the houses.

Nirpinder Kaur, who owns a Skoda Rapid, said she heard a loud sound following which she rushed outside the house and found that an unknown vehicle had hit her car, which was parked outside the house. “I found that my car had been dragged for a few metres and it was badly damaged,” she said.

The accused driver also hit another Chevrolet Beat parked outside one of the houses. Residents informed the police about the incident. The bumper of the car with its registration plate fell at the spot, which was handed over to the police.

The incident was recorded on CCTV cameras installed outside the houses.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter at the Sector 19 police station.
