Rape accused SI at large

Sub-Inspector Naveen Kumar of the UT police, who was booked on a charge of raping a model, is reportedly at large and the police are making efforts to nab him. 

Naveen, posted at the Police Lines, Sector 26, was booked after the Mumbai-based model lodged a complaint against him with the UT police alleging that she was raped by him at a hotel in the Industrial Area, Phase II. 

Police officials said the accused was yet to be arrested in the case. 

Naveen, who was earlier posted in the cyber cell, came in contact with the victim while investigating her cheating complaint against a city youth.
