Hosts St. John’s High School, Sector 26, beat St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44, by six wickets in the ongoing Brother Mc Cann Under-17 Inter School Cricket tournament, here today. 

Batting first, St. Joseph’s were bowled out for a paltry 72 in 15.5 overs as Pratham Singla (4/15) and Angad Bhatia (2/6) put the visitors on a tight leash.

Yashwardhan scored a defiant 22 before he returned to the hut, while Karan added 16 runs to the total. 

In reply, St. John’s rode on Ranbir Aujla’s 50-run knock to reach home in 14.2 overs with six wickets in hand. 

Satluj beat St. Stephen’s  

In another match, Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula, beat St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45, by four wickets. 

St. Stephen’s School were out for 98 runs in 19.5 overs after opting to bat first. Daksh Munro (2/19) and Yash Vishnoi (2/8) claimed two wickets each for Satluj Public School, while Khushleen (31) was the top scorer for St. Stephen’s.

Needing 99 runs for victory, Satluj boys won in the final over of the day. Aman Garh scored a vital 46, while Sukhrajbir Gill chipped in with 15 runs. Anshul Chaudhary claimed 3/17, while Khushleen bagged 2/20for St. Stephen’s School.
