Purse snatched in Panchkula market

Two unidentified scooty-borne youths snatched a purse of a student in the Sector 9 market here late on Monday night.

In her complaint to the police, Aakriti Rathore, a resident of Sector 9, stated that she had parked her car near the Reliance Digital showroom in the sector and was heading towards an ATM when two unidentified youths came on a scooty and snatched her purse containing Rs 2,000.

The purse also contained an SBI debit card, her driving licence, Aadhar card, college ID card and other important documents.

She stated that the accused were not wearing helmet and the scooty’s colour was dark grey.

A case under Section 379A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the unidentified persons at the Sector 5 police station.

The police have started investigation into it.
