Chandigarh, March 1

Amid war-like tension between India and Pakistan after the Pulwama attack, student organisation ‘Sath’ demonstrated a protest at the Student Centre, PU, against war and demand a solution of the problem through talks and diplomacy.

Sath stated: “If war breaks, Punjab will be the battlefield, so every Punjabi should oppose these venomous proceedings.”

Other student organisations such as the NSUI, SFS, PSU-Lalkar, and Academic Front Of Sikh Students also took part in the protest.

Sath leader Sukhwinder singh said: “On the one hand, fascist forces — RSS-BJP and ABVP — are trying to get political mileage by spreading hate against Pakistan and on the other hand, students are opposing war considering its probable human, economic, and cultural damages.”

Sath appealed to people of Punjab to walk on path paved by Sikh Gurus. In this anti-war protest, leaders from other student organisations gave their views and supported the peaceful way to solve all issues. Students also raised slogans such as ‘say no to war’. — TNS
