PU Academic Council poll results out

Panjab University today declared the results of election of 15 college teachers to Academic Council of the varsity.

The elections were held on January 19 at 133 polling stations set up across Panjab University affiliated colleges in Chandigarh and Punjab. However, only 127 colleges deposited their ballot papers. There were 32 candidates from affiliated colleges of THE PU in the election for 15 seats. The Academic Council has a term of two years from February 1, 2018, onwards, informed PU Registrar Col G S Chadha (Retd).

He further informed that the academic council is an apex body to decide curriculum of all courses. All the professors of the PU are ex-officio members of the council.—TNS
