PO in cheating, theft cases held

CHANDIGARH: A proclaimed offender in cases of theft and cheating registered in the city has landed in the police net.

A proclaimed offender in cases of theft and cheating registered in the city has landed in the police net.

The PO and summon cell of the UT police nabbed Manpreet, alias Mangal Singh, a native of Ferozepur district in Punjab, at Guru Harsahai, near Jalalabad in Punjab, today.

The police said three cases of theft and cheating were registered against him at the Sector 34 and 11 police stations in 2005. He was declared PO in these three cases in 2012.

The police said the suspect also had three cases of murder, drugs and theft registered against him at different police stations in Punjab. He was convicted in these cases.— TNS
