Pinjore resident held with 10-qtl poppy husk

The Panchkula police have registered a case under Section 15 of the NDPS Act against a drug dealer from Pinjore for transporting bhuki (poppy husk).

After getting a tip-off about a resident of Pinjore, identified as Jaswant, transporting drugs in his truck bearing registration No. HP12D-7640 from Zirakpur to Pinjore a naka was set up near HMT, Pinjore.

Around 4:40 am, when the truck was approaching naka, its driver was signalled to stop his vehicle. During checking, the police recovered 10 quintals of bhuki (poppy husk) in 40 sacks from the truck. Jaswant was arrested on the spot.

An FIR was registered under Section 15 of the NDPS Act at Pinjore police station.
