PEC students win laurels

CHANDIGARH: Students of Punjab Engineering College (PEC) won laurels at a technical competition at IIT-Bombay earlier this month.

Students of Punjab Engineering College (PEC) won laurels at a technical competition at IIT-Bombay earlier this month.

They won the first and third prize in the event, ‘Encode Steel’. The students had to design a G+10 residential structure with steel as primary material at a minimum cost.

Of more than 50 teams from all over the country which participated in the event, only seven teams from various NITs and IITs could reach the final stage. The first position was secured by a team of Aryan S Jajma, Manshul Garg, Mukul Pant and Ankit Nautiyal, while Ishant Sharma, Vishnu Kumar, Sanchit and Pawan Deshwal bagged the third position.
