Patiala: Students from Classes V to VII at Ryan International School, Patiala, showed their creativity a through painting competition. The topic for the contest was fuel conservation. All students eagerly participated in the competition. They proved that they can also shine in extra-curricular activities too. 

Motivational workshop

St Peter’s Academy, Patiala, invited Fr Jerry Rosario, an Indian Jesuit priest, theologian, writer and a social activist, for a motivational workshop for schoolteachers of the school. Teachers from Our Lady of Fatima School and St Xavier’s School also joined the workshop. The workshop reinforced that teachers need to be more than academic experts. He stressed that teachers should be revolutionary in their outlook to create a new world. Fr Kjus and Fr John Bosco from the school management thanked him for sparing time for the workshop. 

International Youth Day

A special assembly was conducted to commemorate International Youth Day at Police DAV Public School in Patiala. Students from Tulip House decorated the school display board. Arshpreet Kaur of Class VII delivered a speech, telling the history and importance of the day. Principal Meena Thapar motivated the youths to come forward and contribute to the progress of the country.

 I-Day celebrations 

To mark the 71st Independence Day, DAV Public School, Patiala, organised a group discussion for Class X and a quiz for Class IX. For Class VIII, a presentation was shown on important events and leaders during the national struggle. Topics for the group discussion were “India - Land of Opportunities”, “Challenges to the National Integration”, “Vision India – 2020” and “70 years of Indian Independence”. The discussion was initiated by Geeta Sharma, HOD of the social science department of the school, enlightened students about the achievements of the country for the past 70 years. OC
