One held for abduction of 4 Mullanpur students

The Nayagaon police today arrested a person in the kidnapping case of four students or a private fashion technology institute near Mullanpur.

The accused has been identified as Suraj Mukhia.

Abhishek Jagrota, Sandeep Kumar, Arvind Kumar and Abhishek Sharma, all natives of Himachal Pradesh, were allegedly kidnapped by Suraj and his two accomplices, who are still at large.

The victims were on their way to Khuda Ali Sher village where they lived in a rented accommodation when they were allegedly kidnapped. They were held hostage in a room for entire night and beaten up.

A case was registered against Suraj, Rajat and an unidentified person under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (assault) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code. — TNS
