Chandigarh, June 23

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) result for admission to medical colleges was declared today. A dismal performance by tricity meant that none featured in top 100. Seven students had featured in top 50 last year with three in top 10.

Navtej Mangat is the tricity topper with AIR 230. He was also the AIIMS entrance test topper in tricity. Rhythm Singh has secured AIR 283 and is tricity Rank 2. Ankush Jindal with AIR 412 is tricity Rank 3. He was second in the tricity in the AIIMS entrance test. Rank fourth was bagged by Mehak Malhotra with AIR 498. Navtej says that he was not active on any social media website and studied for seven to eight hours a day. Ankush used only a messaging application and rarely used other sites. He had set weekly targets of completing a part of the syllabus and accomplished it. Mehak did not use social media at all and said that she studies all through the day and set daily targets. Last year, Arushi Jain had secured AIR 5 and was the tricity topper. Japnoor Kaur and Tanish Modi had secured AIR 7 and AIR 16, respectively.
