The IndiGo Chandigarh-Hyderabad flight will not take off from the international airport here tomorrow, as the airlines will be operating it between Chandigarh and Srinagar.

Today, the IndiGo flight from Chandigarh to Srinagar (6E 372) was cancelled due to some operational reasons. Sources said more than 120 seats were booked in the flight. “All passengers have been provided with hotel accommodation and food by the airlines,” said the sources.

The sources said since the Chandigarh-Hyderabad flight for tomorrow was now cancelled, it would be sent to Srinagar.

Meanwhile, a flight to Delhi (9W652) was also cancelled today following some operational reasons. Sources said as many as 70 seats were booked in this Jet Airways flight.

Earlier, nearly 163 passengers travelling in the Jet Airways Mumbai-Dehradun flight faced inconvenience as the aircraft had to be landed at the Chandigarh airport due to technical reasons.

“Later, the passengers were flown to Dehradun in another aircraft,” said a spokesperson at the local airport.

“Our team of engineers is travelling to Chandigarh for necessary inspection and rectification of the aircraft. At Jet Airways, safety is of paramount importance and inconvenience caused to our guests is regretted,” stated a Jet Airways spokesperson.

The GoAir (912 IXC –AMD) flight from Chandigarh to Ahmedabad witnessed a delay of an hour and 40 minutes due to bad weather at its point of destination, said the sources.
