Rain brings down temperature in region

CHANDIGARH: There was widespread rain in Chandigarh, parts of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh on Thursday morning.

There was widespread rain in Chandigarh, parts of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh on Thursday morning.

Snow and rain was reported from higher reaches of Himachal, intensifying the cold wave in the region.

The rain started early and people woke up to a cold morning.

Moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of Punjab and Haryana.

The rain could be spoiler for the two-day investors’ meet at Dharamsala.

The MeT office has also predicted rain and thundershowers at many places in middle hills and rain or snow at many places in the higher hills for Friday as well, rain, thundershowers and snow at isolated places on November 8 and dry weather in the region thereafter.
