AMBALA: The police have booked a man on the charge of murder after a migrant labourer, who was allegedly hit with an iron rod in the head by the suspect, died while undergoing treatment in last night.

The police have booked a man on the charge of murder after a migrant labourer, who was allegedly hit with an iron rod in the head by the suspect, died while undergoing treatment in last night.

The deceased has been identified as Khuwari (34), while the suspect has been identified as Kulwant.

Khuwari, who hailed from Bihar, was living with his family at a rented accommodation in Rattangarh of Ambala City. He is survived by his wife and three children.

Sources said Khuwari had a verbal spat with his landlord Kulwant on October 31 over delay in rent and Kulwant hit him with an iron rod. Instead of getting treatment, the deceased kept taking medicines on his own. After his health deteriorated on Saturday, he was taken to the Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. — TNS
