CHANDIGARH: A Sector 40 resident has been booked for allegedly duping people to the tune of Rs 2.25 lakh on the pretext of providing them jobs in the UAE.

A Sector 40 resident has been booked for allegedly duping people to the tune of Rs 2.25 lakh on the pretext of providing them jobs in the UAE.

According to the police, complainant Shashwinder Singh, a resident of Sector 40, alleged that Sukhwiner Singh, also a Sector 40 resident, cheated him and others on the pretext of providing a visa along with the work permit and jobs in the UAE. The complainant has alleged that the suspect cheated them by providing a tourist visa. The police have registered a case against him at the Sector 39 police station. — TNS
