PANCHKULA: A Zomato delivery boy, who was on his way to deliver food at a car showroom, was allegedly beaten up by three unidentified persons here.

A Zomato delivery boy, who was on his way to deliver food at a car showroom, was allegedly beaten up by three unidentified persons here. The incident occurred yesterday around 8.30 pm near Sector 6 when three miscreants suddenly came in his way and stopped his Activa.

He told the police that after thrashing him, they snatched his mobile phone and wallet, which had a driving licence, ATM card, Aadhaar card, PAN card and Rs 100. He was also attacked with a sharp weapon by them, the victim alleged. The delivery boy is a resident of Shanti Nagar, Mani Majra, in Chandigarh.

The victim, Amandeep Saini, underwent treatment for his leg injuries at the Civil Hospital, Sector 6. A case has been registered. —TNS
