Arjun Veer Singh continued his brilliant run in the Haryana Inter-District U-14 Cricket Tournament as he claimed a four-for to help Chandigarh Cricket Association, affiliated to Haryana, register a six-wicket win over Kaithal Cricket Association here today.

Opting to bat, Kaithal boys were bowled out for 60 runs in 36.2 overs as Arjun-led Chandigarh attack kept picking wickets at regular intervals. Arjun claimed 4/14, while Harnoor Singh Nanda took 3/14.

Jai Nandal (17) and Akshay Kumar (11) were the two Kaithal batsmen to score in double digits.

Chandigarh, in reply, reached home in 16.5 overs with six wickets to spare. Nikhil Kumar and Aksh Rana remained not out on 17 runs each.

Raman powers United XI

A whirlwind half-century by Raman helped Chandigarh United XI beat Shiva XI by six wickets in a Champions Corporate Cricket League match at Tau Devi Lal Stadium here today.

Batting first, Shiva XI made 142/4 in 20 overs, with Kapil Bharadwaj hitting a 48-ball 50 and Harsh scoring a brisk 27. Amanpal added 19 runs to the Shiva XI total.
