Bajaj appears before AIFF ethics panel, verdict soon

KOLKATA:Minerva Punjab FC owner Ranjit Bajaj has appeared before the All India Football Federation's (AIFF) Ethics Committee for putting out derogatory tweets and the verdict is expected in a few days, said Committee chairman Amod Kanth.

Minerva Punjab FC owner Ranjit Bajaj has appeared before the All India Football Federation's (AIFF) Ethics Committee for putting out derogatory tweets and the verdict is expected in a few days, said Committee chairman Amod Kanth.

The I-League team owner appeared before the panel on Saturday after being show caused in July for his numerous derogatory, damaging, unethical tweets/re-tweets against the federation. 

"He appeared and was given full opportunity to speak. We will decide on the verdict soon," said Kanth.

Bajaj was served the show cause notice by AIFF's Ethics Committee on July 10 and was asked to reply within 15 days regarding his actions and its effect on the image of Indian football and the federation. 

The notice pointed at around 45 derogatory, damaging and unethical tweets/re-tweets made by the I-League team owner. — IANS
