CU third in contest at IIM

KHARAR: Seven budding entrepreneurs of Chandigarh University have won the third position in the National B-Plan Competition organised recently by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru.

Seven budding entrepreneurs of Chandigarh University have won the third position in the National B-Plan Competition organised recently by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru.

The event is attended by teams from renowned B-schools of the country and investors from India and abroad. This year, more than 35 teams took part in the annual business plan competition which is a part of IIM Banglore’s Entrepreneurs Summit (EXIMIUS 2019).

Team from GLS University, Ahmadabad, won the first prize while the RKSVV College of Agriculture, Gwalior, bagged the second position in the national B-plan competition. Chandigarh Uuniversity team, headed by final year marketing and international business student, presented two business proposals which were appreciated by a panel of judges.

The first business proposal presented by team CU was “Night Garage” which will offer automobile servicing and repair facility for both four and two wheeler owners. Another business plan presented by the students was ‘Anti-insect-cum-pet tracker’.

Dr Shiv Tripathi, Executive Director, University School of Business, Chandigarh University, said: “All students in the team are university toppers and were selected for the training at IIM-Indore. It is a matter of pride that the team has won accolades in their first attempt at the contest.”
