PGI Union members stage protest

CHANDIGARH:Members of the PGI Employees Union (Non-Faculty) and Medical Technologists Association took out a protest march from the PGIMER gate to rally grounds, Sector 25, in protest against the non-fulfillment of their demands.

Members of the PGI Employees Union (Non-Faculty) and Medical Technologists Association took out a protest march from the PGIMER gate to rally grounds, Sector 25, in protest against the non-fulfillment of their demands. 

More than 350 members of the PGI Union, PGI MTA and Contact Workers Union joined the protest.

The demands included implementation of grant of GP Rs 4,600 to medical technologists, cadre review, restoration of more than 400 posts abolished by Coordination Committee, holding of high-powered committee meeting, filling up of promotional and direct recruitment posts, release payment of dress allowance from July 1, 2017, etc. — TNS
