Rajiv Gandhi is the architect of modern India in the real sense as he had a great vision for India and introduced information technology, computers, cell phones and several. To strengthen the Indian Democracy at grassroots level, he introduced Panchyati Raj System and gave vast rights to elected rural representatives, said Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Minister for Food and Civil Supply, while remembering Rajiv Gandhi during a function held here today.

Similarly, to pay tributes to Rajiv Gandhi MLA Amloh Kaka Randip Singh organised a public camp under MG Sarvat Vikas Yojna at Tanda Badha village, where the officials of all the departments under one roof redressed the grievances of the people on the spot.

Addressing the gathering MLA said the real tribute to Rajiv Gandhi, who dreamt of a corruption free and modern India. He called upon the people to wage a war against social evils particularly drug abuse to make prosperous society.

District Congress Committee organised a function at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School Sirhind to pay tributes to Rajiv Gandhi. Kuljit Singh Nagra MLA and Subhash Sood President DCC addressed the students and urged them to follow the vision of Rajiv Gandhi he dreamt for India. They highlighted various achievements of Rajiv Gandhi as PM. Sweets were distributes to students.
