2 youths use pepper spray, take away car

MOHALI: Two miscreants executed a carjacking by using a pepper spray here late last night. The victim, Harjinder Singh (35), a resident of Sector 126, said he came out of his i20 car to answer the call of nature near PUDA Bhawan in Phase 8 when the incident occurred.

Two miscreants executed a carjacking by using a pepper spray here late last night. 

The victim, Harjinder Singh (35), a resident of Sector 126, said he came out of his i20 car to answer the call of nature near PUDA Bhawan in Phase 8 when the incident occurred.

Harjinder, who runs an immigration firm in Sector 75, said two youths, one of whom was wearing a turban, came close to him and sprayed some liquid into his eyes. They pushed him away and fled in his car, which he had purchased in January this year. 

The miscreants threw the victim’s two mobile phones that were lying in the car near Kumbhra village. The police said the phones were located through tower location. 

A case in this connection has been registered against the two unidentified persons under Sections 379-B (theft) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC at the Phase 8 police station here today. — TNS
