Mohali, June 9

An awareness camp was organised for auto-rickshaw drivers at Phase 6 here today.

In the camp, held by Samarthan Social Welfare Society, the auto drivers were told about the ill-effects of drunken driving and tobacco.

While addressing the auto-rickshaw drivers, Raghuvir Singh, founder of Jeevan Sandesh Foundation, said accidents by a drunken driver were generally due to poor judgement and poor visual attention.

The auto drivers were told that they were responsible for the lives of their passengers, so they had to be very careful about it. They were also made aware of traffic rules.
