CHANDIGARH: A 50-year-old man, working as a stenographer with the Punjab State Electricity Board, reportedly committed suicide by hanging at his house this evening.

A 50-year-old man, working as a stenographer with the Punjab State Electricity Board, reportedly committed suicide by hanging at his house this evening.

The victim has been identified as Kamaljeet Singh, a resident of Sector 19.

The police learnt about the incident around 7 pm, following which a PCR vehicle rushed to the spot. The victim was taken to the GMCH-32, where he was declared brought dead. Sources said no suicide note was recovered from the spot. The autopsy will be conducted tomorrow.
