Bizman dies in car crash

MOHALI: A 43-year-old businessman was killed near Phase 9 when the car he was driving crashed into a tree, the police said.

A 43-year-old businessman was killed near Phase 9 when the car he was driving crashed into a tree, the police said. The deceased has been identified as Ramtirath Sharma, a resident of Phase 3B1. The incident took place in the wee hours of today. He was alone in the Swift Dzire at the time of the mishap.

Baljinder Singh, his business partner, said: “We were travelling in the same car. He dropped me at my residence and left for his home in Phase 3B1. A few minutes later, I came to know that he had met with an accident.”

The police said he was on his way home after dropping his business partner in Phase 11. The victim is survived by his wife and two sons. — TNS
