150 docs felicitated at award ceremony

ZIRAKPUR: The Society for Scientific Research and Studies, in association with the International Association Trust, organised the Pankosmia Talents of Healthcare Professionals (PTH Awards-2019) in Zirakpur on Sunday.

The Society for Scientific Research and Studies, in association with the International Association Trust, organised the Pankosmia Talents of Healthcare Professionals (PTH Awards-2019) in Zirakpur on Sunday.

Padma Shri legendary Olympian Milkha Singh was the celebrity guest, while Dr Satish Aggarwal, Director General, Health Services, Haryana, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Dr Harkanwal Preet Singh, founder of the society, said 150 doctors from across the country were honoured on the occasion. Nearly 1,200 nominations were received under various categories. Project head Dr Thippeswamy and co-founder of the society, Dr Piyush Gandhi, said the aim was to motivate the health professionals to do good for the welfare of mankind.

Padma Shri awardee Dr Rajiv Bali, endodontist in Ludhiana, and Dr Shadab Ahmed, Dean, King George Dental College, Lucknow, were awarded life-time achievement awards in their specialties for their contribution to the community. Dasmesh Institute of Research and Dental Sciences, Faridkot, was awarded the Best Dental College of India award.

Dr. Renu Aggarwal, Deputy Director, Health Services, Haryana, Dr Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, PU, Chandigarh, were also present during the ceremony. — TNS
