Judo workshop at college

CHANDIGARH: The Physical Education Department of Government College, Dera Bassi, organised a judo workshop and demonstration here on Wednesday.

The Physical Education Department of Government College, Dera Bassi, organised a judo workshop and demonstration here on Wednesday.

The objective of the workshop-cum-demonstration was to empower students with the knowledge of self-defence techniques.

Tajinderjeet Kaur, a judo coach at the Sports Authority of India extension centre, Dashmesh Khalsa College, Zirakpur, was the chief guest on the occasion.

Her team demonstrated various judo techniques. Prof Simarpreet Kaur from the department also demonstrated some techniques.
