After much chaos and protest spanning five days everything seemed to be peaceful at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL). Protesters, who raised voice against suspension of six students, mistreatment at the hands of an official on the varsity campus and for fulfillment of other demands joined classes today.

 Much to dislike of students, university will hold the mid-semester exams from Friday. Students said they had hesitantly accepted the decision regarding revised date sheet of exams though they wanted more time for preparation.

A final year BALLB student requesting anonymity said, “We proposed different dates for exams to university officials, but they had already taken a decision on the matter. As students received immense help from senior officials so, we decided to accept the varsity decision.”

Students said they had started the process for the formation of student body. “We will form an interim committee, which will draft and finalise a charter for a students’ representative body within two months. The draft will be enforced as per the law after approval of the university general council,” students added.
