Man held with 100-gm smack

Mohali, January 22

A team of the Mohali special task force arrested a person with 100 gm of smack. The suspect has been identified as Ravi Kaushal, a resident of Patiala. Superintendent of Police (STF) Rajinder Singh Sohal said the suspect was active in Mohali, Kharar and Chandigarh, where he sold smack, which he used to procure from Ambala.

  “We nabbed him from Landran Chowk. He was on foot and was going to supply smack to his regular customers,” said SP Sohal.

  He said the suspect was in the trade for long. A case of similar nature was registered against him in Patiala around two years ago. “Besides, he was also booked in a theft case in Patiala around one and a half years ago,” said Sohal.  — TNS
