Dumper rams into bike, 2 killed

AMBALA: Two men were killed while a woman and her one-year-old daughter were injured after a dumper hit their motorcycle near Jhadumajra village in Mullana on Sunday.

Two men were killed while a woman and her one-year-old daughter were injured after a dumper hit their motorcycle near Jhadumajra village in Mullana on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Praveen and Pradeep while the injured have been identified as Rina and Vanshika.

Pradeep Kumar, his wife Rina, daughter Vanshika and brother-in-law Praveen, all residents of Punjab, had reached Jhadumajra village to attend a wedding. They were on their way back on a motorcycle when the incident took place.

The victims were rushed to MM Hospital, Mullana, where both men were declared dead while the woman and her daughter are undergoing treatment.

After the accident, the driver managed to flee from the spot, along with the dumper.

Ravinder Kumar, in charge, Kalalti police post, said, “The dumper driver, in an attempt to overtake, hit the motorcycle. A case has been registered against the unknown driver and efforts are being made to arrest him.”
