Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Manish Tewari condemned the statement of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who alleged that there was a collusion between the opposition leaders of the country and the France on the Rafale deal issue.

Tewari said Jaitley’s statement was wrong and had no basis. He said revelation of former French President Francois Hollande on the Rafale jets deal had exposed the Modi government completely.

He said Francois Hollande’s revelation that the France Government had no choice but to accept one company proposed by the Government of India as offset partner in the Rafale deal had made it clear that the government proposed one particular company to the Dassault.

He said it was a high time that the Centre should come clean on the matter .The Prime Minister and the Defence Minister should answers all questions. The Government should also answer as how the prices of the Rafale deal was increased from Rs 590 crore to Rs 1600 crore, he said.
