An interactive workshop on road safety and traffic laws and regulations was conducted by the Chandigarh Traffic Police. They enlightened the students about latest traffic rules and the implication of breaking them through a video, signboard, lecture and a unique song by ASI Bhupinder Singh. They also conducted a traffic awareness quiz.

IS Dev Samaj School, Chandigarh

IS Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Sector 21-C, celebrated ‘Maat Pita Santaan Diwas’ at Dev Samaj College of Education. The function was to give an opportunity to students to offer gratitude and reverence to their parents. The event was attended by nearly 800 guests. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, SSP, Mohali, was the chief guest.

Sri Aurobindo School, Chandigarh

Teacher’s Day was celebrated with zeal and verve at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh. Students put up a spectacular show for the occasion. Through an enchanting blend of dance and music, students created an enthralling atmosphere. They also presented beautiful badges and titles, along with rose buds, to their mentors as a token of love and appreciation.

St Soldier International, Mohali

Students of St Soldier International Convent School, Phase 7, Mohali, launched a mock company, 'Snack Way'. Rohit Gupta, PCS-Estate Officer, GMADA, was the chief guest on the occasion. The company has been set up to make the students aware of the various aspects of company formation and business. The school chairman said students could learn business skills from such ventures.

Yadavindra Public, Mohali

The Punjab School District Swimming Competition (U-14 & U-17) was held at the Sector 78 swimming pool. A total of 21 medals were bagged by students of YPS, Mohali.

Manav Rachna, Mohali

Manav Rachna students bagged a range of medals at the 6th Tricity Inter-Academy Shooting. In individual category, medals were won by Samarjeet Singh of Class III and Himansh Vij of Class II. Bronze medal was bagged by Eknoor Singh Bains of Class VI. The Air Rifle Men team won the silver medal and the Air Rifle Sitting men bagged the gold.

Satluj Public, Panchkula

The World Class Teacher Training session was organised for the faculty of Satluj Public. The capacity building programme on life skills was carried out by CBSE resource person Anuja Sharma. The seminar was mesmerising, interactive and informative. Director-Principal Krit Serai said: “Staff training is an important part of faculty professional growth and such sessions are held regularly.” TNS
