Netball trials on January 4

Chandigarh: Netball Sports Promotion Association will on Friday conduct trials to select the Chandigarh boys’ and girls’ team for the 31st Junior Netball National Championship to be held at the Punjab Sports Academy, Maher Khana, Bathinda, from January 27-30.

Chandigarh: Netball Sports Promotion Association will on Friday conduct trials to select the Chandigarh boys’ and girls’ team for the 31st Junior Netball National Championship to be held at the Punjab Sports Academy, Maher Khana, Bathinda, from January 27-30. The trials will be held at The British School, Sector 44, the organisers said here on Monday. Players born on or after April 1, 2000, will be eligible to participate in the trials, they said, adding that the interested players should be residents of Chandigarh. The trials will begin at 3 pm. Tennis meet from January 5

Chandigarh: The Roots Tennis Academy will hold the Roots Open Championship for Boys and Girls from January 5-7 at Divya Public School, Sector 44. The tournament will be held in U-10, U-12 and U-14 age-groups in both boys’ and girls’ categories, the organisers said here on Monday. While players born after January 1, 2009, can compete in the U-10 age-group, those born after January 1, 2007, will be eligible to participate in the U-12 category. Players born after January 1, 2005, can compete in U-14 age-group. The interested players need to register for the event before 4 pm on January 4, the organisers added. TNS  

Wrestling trials on January 18

Chandigarh: The UT Sports Department will conduct trials to select the Chandigarh Civil Services wrestling team on January 18 at the Mani Majra Sports Complex, here. The trials will begin at 3 pm, the Sports Department said here on Monday. Only full-fledged departments of the Chandigarh Administration can take part in the trials, the organisers said, adding that all the participants should carry their identity cards for verification of eligibility criteria. The selected grapplers will represent Chandigarh Civil Services team in the All-India Civil Services Wrestling Tournament scheduled to be held at the Mani Majra Sports Complex from January 28.
