Neha, Priyanshi, Arnav ease into semis

Mohali, June 3

Neha of Manav Mangal School (Sector 21 Chandigarh), reached in the semifinals of the girls' U-15 category by defeating Kriti of the Sector 78 Sports Complex in the ongoing 4th Learning Paths Annual Open Table Tennis Tournament, here today. 

Neha logged an 11-7 11-4 10-12 11-5 victory in the first quarterfinal match. Priyanshi of Tender Heart (Sector 33 Chandigarh) registered an 11-4 12-10 11-9 win over Parneet of DAV School, Sector 7. Pragati of Learning Paths School (Mohali) defeated Teetiksha of Tender Heart School 11-6 11-1 11-4, and Pelf of Learning Paths School beat Guntaas 11-4 11-6 11-6. 

In the boys' U-15 quarterfinals, Arnav Aggarwal from Gurukul Global (Chandigarh) defeated Tejasva Jindal of Learning Paths School 11-6 11-1 11-4, while Vishal of Tender Heart School defeated Alex of Saupin's School, Mohali, 11-7 11-8 13-15 8-11 11-9. 

Aariv of Gurukul Global also moved into the semis by defeating Sagar Rawat of Saupin's School 11-5 11-9 6-11 7-11 11-5 and Pritish Sood of Learning Paths School overpowered Sahil Rawat 11-7 7-11 11-7 12-10 in the last quarterfinals of the category.

Arvan also reached in the boys' U-18 semis by defeating Sachit Saini of DAV School 11-8 11-8 3-11 11-7. Jasjot of the Sector 78 Sports Complex defeated Harkeerat of Manav Mangal School 11-9 11-8 11-9 and Harman Saini of the Sector 78 outfit registered an impressive 11-2 11-7 11-2 victory over Tejasva of Learning Paths School. 

Pawan Singh defeated Jaskawalpreet 11-9 11-8 9-11 11-5). In the girls' U-18 category, Pelf of Learning Paths School recorded a 13-11 11-7 11-6 victory over Parneet of Delhi Public School, Sector 40. 

Vasundhra of Sacred Heart (Sector 26 Chandigarh) fought back from one game down to defeat Pragriti of Learning Paths School 3-1111-7 10-12 11-7 11-8 and Sonika defeated Sonalika 11-9 11-8 8-11 11-8 in another quarterfinal. Neha of Tender Heart School faced some resistance from Simran Rawat before recording a 4-11 10-12 12-10 11-9 11-8 victory.
