NCC girl cadets on a mission

Patiala, December 8

Proving their determination and grit, two NCC girl cadets from the NCC Directorate Bihar and Jharkhand embarked on an ‘All India Bicycle Expedition’. Cadet Harsha Kumari and Cadet Savitri Mumu commenced their arduous and challenging bicycle expedition on October 14 covering approximately 22,000 km over the next eight months PAN India. As per the route map of the mission, the cadets armed with nothing but the GPS were provided administrative support by the 4 Punjab Girls Battalion NCC in Patiala for December 6. They created awareness of ‘Adarsh Samaj ka Nirman’ among school and college students and whoever they met en route their journey. 

  At NCC group headquarters, Patiala, the duo were felicitated and encouraged by the Deputy Group Commander, Col Manoj Attri. He also congratulated them and wished them success for their future journey. — TNS
