NCC cadets felicitated

Chandigarh, February 15

Cadets of the Chandigarh NCC Group were felicitated for their outstanding performance in different fields during the year at a ceremony organised at Group Headquarters here on Friday.

In the senior category, Ankit had participated in the Youth Exchange Programme in Singapore, Griha and Poonam had won gold medals in the All-India Girls Trekking Expedition, while Ankita, Jyoti and Simran had won silver medals in the trekking event. Rachit of junior division had represented Chandigarh in the Republic Day Camp, New Delhi.

In the article writing category, Kush Pandeya won the Best Article Award for his contribution in the annual NCC magazine, ‘The Cadet’. The meritorious cadets were presented certificates by Brig RS Thakur, Chandigarh NCC Group Commander. — TNS
